ASCE Women in Civil Engineering Panel

Kristin Seel and Andrea Hunt met and connected with engineering students at the University at Buffalo for the Women in Civil Engineering Panel on Monday, November 13th. Andrea emceed the event and Kristin served as the panel’s Civil/Site and Construction Management representative. They were joined by women from other local engineering firms, sharing what it means to be an engineering professional as a woman, the challenges they face, learning opportunities and career accomplishments, exciting aspects of being an engineer, ideas to advance women in engineering, and general career advice. This was a joint event with the UB ASCE Student Chapter and the Buffalo Section of ASCE.

Kristin and Andrea are both on the ASCE Buffalo Section Board of Directors. Kristin is a Director and member of the Scholarship Committee. Andrea is the current President of the Buffalo Section.
