The Saint Lawrence Psychiatric Center, operated by the New York State Office of Mental Health, is located in Ogdensburg, NY. Their Children and Youth services provide individual and group counseling, diagnostic and medical evaluation, psychological testing, crisis intervention, psychopharmacology, education, socialization, skill training, and learning therapy. This project includes a major renovation of the MEP and fire protection systems at the Children and Youth Service Building 202. This involved upgrading the seven rooftop air handling units (AHUs) and associated pumps and terminal units, domestic hot water heaters, sprinkler systems, as well as a power and lighting upgrade.

Popli Design Group’s (PDG’s) Energy Team assisted in periodic site observation inspection and compliance reviews of the comprehensive commissioning services. The focus of the inspection is on this equipment and systems, including the seven new rooftop AHUs, pumps and chilled/hot water distribution, reheat coils, exhaust fans, roof ventilators, unit ventilators, cabinet unit heaters, domestic hot water heaters, and sprinkler and lighting systems.
