This project involved the preliminary and final design for the replacement of two multi-cell CMP bridge structures carrying Schwartz Drive and McIntosh Drive over North Hunter Brook. The new structures are both 24 foot span precast concrete three-sided structures founded on bedrock. The clear span structure was selected to reduce the likelihood of debris snagging at the structures and prevent the resulting flooding caused by debris blockage. The project included the reconstruction of the bridge approaches and the replacement of the existing water mains within the project limits.
